The 2023 Next Challenge for Media & Journalism Launches Now!
Applications are open for the second annual startup competition awarding $130,000 to the most promising media ventures in the United States.
Glen Nelson Center and American Public Media Group (APMG) are proud to announce the 2023 Next Challenge for Media & Journalism, a national startup competition seeking groundbreaking for-profit and nonprofit startups that will reinvent media in the coming decade. Last year, more than 250 startups and 400+ entrepreneurs were a part of the competition, which paired finalists with industry mentors, provided free training opportunities, and awarded $100k to outstanding media startups across the country.
This year, the competition will have even more opportunities to win with eight monetary awards totaling $130,000 and new strategic partners ready to connect with the best media startups in the country.
One or more division winners will receive an additional Grand Prize Award of up to $30,000. Other monetary prizes include the Vision Award, Community Service Award, Future Tech Award and an Audience Choice Award voted on by the public.
